15 JOURNAL PROMPTS - LET GO & TRUST GOD
🌿 Surrender & Stillness: 15 Journal Prompts for When You Need to Let Go and Trust God
As we finish up July, let's find rest in God’s presence with these journal prompts on surrender and stillness. Let go of control, release anxiety, and learn to trust God’s timing.
✨ Dear Sister,
July often feels like the middle of everything—mid-year goals, summer pressure, busy routines. You may be carrying more than you realize. And maybe, like many of us, you’ve been trying to control what isn’t yours to carry.
But what if this month, instead of striving, you chose surrender?
What if you slowed down, took a breath, and let God be God?
That’s what this month’s journal theme is all about:
Surrender & Stillness.
Not giving up—giving over.
Not doing nothing—choosing peace.
This month, I invite you to journal with a heart wide open to God. Let these prompts help you release anxiety, name what you’ve been trying to fix, and experience the deep peace of resting in His care.
🕊️ Why “Surrender & Stillness” Is a Spiritual Strength
Surrender isn’t a weakness—it’s an act of trust. It means handing your heart to the One who formed it.
Stillness isn’t laziness—it’s obedience. It’s choosing to rest in God’s presence instead of rushing to solve every problem yourself.
Journaling gives you a moment to step out of overwhelm and into God's peace. When your thoughts are swirling, writing slows you down. When your heart is heavy, journaling helps you lay it all at Jesus’ feet.

Reflect on a time when surrender brought unexpected peace.
Write down your to-do list. Then write next to each item: “God, what would You have me do with this?”

🙏 Encouraging Prayer for July
A Prayer of Surrender & Stillness
Father God,
She’s been trying so hard. So much is on her heart. But You see it all—and You’re not asking her to carry it alone.
This month, remind her that it’s okay to let go. It’s safe to trust You. Teach her what it means to be still and truly rest in Your presence.
Slow her racing thoughts. Quiet her anxious heart. Replace her striving with Your strength, and her worry with Your peace.
You are her Shepherd. You are her safe place. You will take care of her.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
💛 Before You Go
Don’t let this be another month of burnout. Take these prompts and build a rhythm of surrender. One page at a time. One prayer at a time. God is faithful—and He’s ready to meet you in the stillness.
