WHEN ANXIETY HITS
🌿 5 Scriptures to Meditate on When Anxiety Hits
Finding calm in His Word when your heart feels heavy
💭 Why This Matters
Starting with God doesn’t only happen in the morning. Anxiety often sneaks in during the middle of the day when your to-do list is too long, when unexpected news hits, or when your heart feels restless. In those moments, you don’t need a long routine. You need God’s Word as your anchor.
These five verses are reminders that you can turn to Him first, anytime. They will steady your thoughts, quiet your heart, and bring you back to the truth: He is your peace.
📖 5 Scriptures to Hold On To

1. Philippians 4:6–7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
➡️ When worry rushes in, pause and pray. Hand it over. His peace will take its place.
2. Matthew 6:33
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
➡️ When your mind spins about what you need or how it will all work out, remember, to seek Him first. Everything else falls into place.
3. Psalm 16:8
"I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."
➡️ When fear tries to shake you, fix your gaze on Him. He is your steady place.
4. Isaiah 26:3
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
➡️ Peace doesn’t come from figuring everything out. It comes from trusting Him.
5. Proverbs 3:5–6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
➡️ When confusion clouds your thoughts, lean into His wisdom. He will guide you.
