REST IN YOUR FAITH

What You Believe About God Shapes How Safe You Feel With Him

There are seasons when anxiety isn’t loud; it’s quiet, steady, and exhausting.
You pray. You read Scripture. You show up.
And yet, deep down, you still don’t feel safe.

Not because you don’t love God.
But because of what you believe about Him, often without realizing it.

For many anxious women, fear doesn’t come from a lack of faith.
It comes from subtle beliefs we’ve picked up over time:
that God is easily disappointed, slow to help, or only close when we “get it right.”

March is a gentle invitation to look at those beliefs honestly and let God reshape them.

✨ Why Beliefs Matter More Than Feelings

Rest in your faith

Feelings come and go.
Beliefs stay.

What you believe about God quietly shapes:

  • how you pray

  • how honest you feel you can be

  • whether you rest or stay on edge

  • how safe you feel bringing Him your fears

If you believe God is harsh, you’ll hide.
If you believe He is distant, you’ll strive.
If you believe He is good, you’ll begin to exhale.

This is why anxiety often lingers even in faithful hearts; it’s rooted deeper than emotions.

🌿 How Scripture Gently Rewrites Our View of God

The Bible doesn’t ask us to pretend we feel safe.
It reveals who God actually is.

📖 “God is not a man, that He should lie.” — Numbers 23:19
📖 “For the Lord will not cast off forever.” — Lamentations 3:31
📖 “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17
📖 “The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” — Psalm 145:8–9

These verses aren’t emotional hype.
They are anchors.

When anxiety flares, returning to truth slowly and repeatedly is how trust is rebuilt.

🪴 Calming Tip of the Day

Calming Tip of the Day

Take one quiet moment and write this sentence honestly:

“When I feel anxious, I believe God is ______.”

Don’t correct it yet.
Just notice it.

Then open Scripture and ask:
Is this belief shaped by fear or by truth?

This simple practice reveals what God may be gently inviting you to release this month.

📖 Scripture to Sit With This Week

  • Numbers 23:19

  • Lamentations 3:31–33

  • James 1:17

  • Psalm 145:8–9

Choose one verse.
Read it slowly.
Let it speak louder than fear.

💛 A Gentle Encouragement

You are not anxious because you don’t trust God enough.
Sometimes you’re anxious because trust is being rebuilt.

And that rebuilding doesn’t start with effort.
It starts with truth.

This month isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who God has always been.
